Community & Family Support

Quality Assurance and Monitoring

The responsibilities of the Department of Quality Assurance and Monitoring are:
  • Monitoring services and making sure individuals, families and personal advocates are happy with the services they receive. 
  • Assuring providers maintain minimum standards and requirements.
  • Monitoring providers and assuring they follow policy, procedure, and contract requirements of the Board.
  • Monitoring, investigating, and resolving cases of abuse, neglect, or exploitation of individuals with developmental disabilities.

Anyone can report a suspected incident of abuse or neglect of an individual with mental retardation and/or developmental disability by contacting the FCBMRDD Administration Building at (740) 687-7240.  If after regular work hours, a 24-hour emergency service can forward a report to an on-call employee.  If desired, the call can be made anonymously.  Contact the Ohio Department of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities at 1-866-313-6733

Individual Support Coordinators

The responsibilities of Individual Support Coordinators are:

  • Helping you decide what your priorities are.

  • making a plan that helps you choose the services you want.

  • Linking you with the services and agencies to meet your needs

  • Monitoring the services you have chosen.

Intake and Family Resources

The responsibilities of Intake and Eligibility are:

  • Answering general questions about County Board services before determining eligibility.
  • Explaining the eligibility process.
  • Determining eligibility for County Board services.
  • Coordinating services until an Individual Support Coordinator is assigned.

The responsibilities of the Family Resources Program are:

  • Determining eligibility for the program.

  • Assisting you to locate needed items or services.

  • Tracking your money allotment.

  • Informing you of any co-pay amounts.

Behavioral Support

The responsibilities of Behavior Supports are:

  • Assessing behavior support needs.
  • Developing programs to address needs.
