POSITIVE PARENTS NETWORK

Positive Parents Network is an information and support network for parents and caregivers of children (any age) with disabilities. The group was formed by parents for parents and caregivers and has been in existence since May of 1997.

WE CAN OFFER A FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT WHERE PARENTS/CAREGIVERS:

1. Can share concerns, experiences, information and support with others who understand.
2. Can listen and share what works well for a particular problem and what does not.
3. Can get information from outside speakers who are trained in various areas of interest.

WE ARE NOT: licensed, professional psychologists, psychiatrists, or social workers.

WE ARE: experienced parents who know our own children better than anyone.

The group meets quarterly. Those who cannot attend the meetings but wish to give and/or receive telephone support may contact Positive Parents Network, and we will try to match you with another parent who is dealing with a similar disability or situation.
